British Sikkim 2007

Persistence eventually paid off for this pair when they at last received permission to climb in north Sikkim, although not on Gurodongmar, at 6,7l5m the highest peak in the area and their hoped-for objective. They were able to explore two glaciers, climb Brumkhangshe South (c5,635m) and Brumkhangshe North (c5,450m), make the first ascent of Eagle Peak (c5,540m), make the second ascent of Pheling (c5,500m) and two other sub 6,000m peaks, and check out a number of routes on Chombu (6,362m).
