British Winter Manaslu East

This seven-member team had the unclimbed Manaslu East (7,900m) as their objective. They reached 6,200m but, mindful of the 38 deaths on Manaslu, including 17 in an avalanche on their route, they retreated on finding dangerously unconsolidated snow.
