Project Together 2025

This team of three aimed to make the first ascent of Khayang Peak, a 6,186m peak in Nepal’s Manaslu region, via an alpine-style ascent of the mountain's southwest face. After establishing a base camp at 4,765m, the three climbers made their attempt on 15 March via the Khayang Glacier, navigating crevasses and crossing 7-10m ice walls. A retreat was forced at 5,220m, after the team was caught in a whiteout and accompanying heavy snowfall. With the forecast predicting three days of persistent snow, they elected to quit the mountain on March 16, retracing their route to Kathmandu.
