Regatta Kamchatka Volcanoes
Kamchatka, the most easterly extremity of Siberia, was closed until recently, so is little explored. This team achieved successful ascents of Avacha (1,800m), Ushkovsky (3,943m) and Klyuchevskaya (c4,750m). All are volcanoes, the last being the highest active volcano in Europe and Asia and also the highest peak in NE Asia.
