Cambridge Ecological Expedition to Tanzania
After a series of delays at the Kenya-Tanzania border and in Dar es Salaam, the expedition was eventually able to visit several of Tanazania's mountain regions where they conducted mapping work to assess the level of deforestation and surveys of avifauna. The expedition was hampered by persistent trouble with the team's Land Rover and they were unable to complete as much data gathering as they had hoped. They did however make a significant contribution to the re-organisation of the bird collection at the National Museum of Tanzania.
