Ratang Himalayan 1956

Travelling between the Karcha Basin, the Ratang Gorge and the Gyundi Valley, this expedition photo-surveyed a previously unmapped area of roughly 400 square miles, made the first ascents of ten peaks, crossed ten previously untravelled passes and collected fossil samples from the Spiti valley on behalf of Dr. W. S. Arkell of the Sedgwick Museum, Cambridge.
