Scottish Lemon Mountains 2003

The Lemon Mountains have proved to be an attractive destination for expeditions in recent years, but this team proved that they still offer scope for first ascents. After setting up a base camp on the Hedgehog glacier, and operating mainly in pairs, they explored the area between the Lucy and Courtauld glaciers, and achieved first ascents of eight peaks of approximately 2,000m. The expedition ended with a frantic dash to reach their pick-up point in time, only to find that the aircraft was delayed by bad weather.
