Stirling University Eastern Greenland Mountaineering Expedition
The team's original objectives higher up the Kaarali glacier proved impractical due to unstable weather and the long, challenging approach across impassable or dangerous marine-terminating glaciers. They focussed instead on rock routes to the immediate north of their base camp in Rodin Bay. Here they had some success, making several first ascents of trad and alpine lines. Coker and Aldridge also succeeded in completing a 23km loop of the main rock massif at a grade of F, during which they undertook nanoplastic sampling on sections of glacier.
