Vietnam 1999

This was a continuation of the exploration of the caves of Vietnam that commenced in 1990. Working with local speleologists from Hanoi University, the team visited two separate provinces, Cao Bang and Quang Binh. In the former, they explored 16 new caves, including one with a depth potential of 800m. In the latter, they completed the survey of a 19km system, including one of the longest underground rivers in the world.
